The Plight of Team 27
At seventeen years old, Belu Syrus is already struggling to find his place in the world. Still reeling from his parents' divorce, world events including the threat of war on the horizon are doing little to soothe his already anxious mind. With his best friend Rinea Brynne by his side, as well as a motor-mouthed magician named Reba Moda, Belu joins the Bovesi Ranger Guild in the hopes of making a difference in his community and finding out who he is.

Unfortunately, when his first quest goes terribly wrong, what should have been an uplifting break from Belu's home life turns into a lethal, chaotic nightmare as he and his friends find themselves on the run. With no one to turn to and a former ally out for their blood, Belu and his friends come face-to-face with a mysterious and deadly vigilante who may be their only chance of getting home in one piece. With their lives, and possibly the lives of thousands of others, on the line, will Belu be able to meet the moment and become the hero that he's always wanted to be?
